This Wednesday, March 25, 2020, the total number of cases of infection with Coronavirus in Cuba has risen to 57. The new infected are nine people of different nationalities who are between 32 and 78 years of age; most of them are Cuban citizens who arrived in the country in March.
The Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) has also issued an official statement that there are currently more than 36,000 people under domestic surveillance in the country, and the authorities hospitalized about 1,500 others in isolation centers.
So far, there has only been one death recorded in Cuban territory due to the Coronavirus; it is a tourist of Italian origin who arrived in Cuba on March 9. And although the evolution of most cases is positive, there are currently two patients reported as critical.
On the other hand, the Italian patient admitted to the Fermín Valdez hospital and who was in a critical situation several days ago is stable and with a positive evolution.
