The World Tourism Organization is asking countries to work together to recover tourism. After the worldwide outbreak of the Covid 19, the world seems to standstill. Even when we are all waiting for the good news of a flattening curve in the number of cases, there is a lot of uncertainty in the matter.
Certainly, tourism is one of the most affected sectors in the economy. No doubt, this is a topic of great concern for either travelers or entire nations that depend on tourism to survive. Considering this point, as well, the World Health Organization (WHO) is working in tandem with the World Tourism Organization (WTO) to restart tourism.
On the other hand, authorities from the WTO have settled some requirements and measures to support jobs through tourism. Nevertheless, they follow as a premise “putting people first”.
Recommendations and Priorities to resettle tourism
Assuredly, people may be wondering whether they are sure in a destination or not. First of all, the authorities genuinely care about security of people above all. Unquestionably, the priority is to recover confidence and trust in the process of traveling.
Second, countries should look for Health Care advisers before reopening boarders. Even when we are all eager to go back to traveling for a vacation, governments will be extremely responsible before making a decision. Indeed, some countries, have adapted or created processes to enhance “safe, seamless and touchless” travels.
Third, promoting “air safe travel”, to enhance the trust of travelers in their agency. Particularly, we may be afraid of flying next to each other, however, airlines have all agreed to readapt the standards in accordance to new hygiene measures.
Why is it important to travel again?
Whereas, most countries have entered the campaign, Stay Home Today, Travel Tomorrow; when the right time comes, we would be ready to catch a plane.
Sincerely, tourism have helped to recover from crisis throughout the years. That is to say the power of knowing different cultures and countries can bring about more respect and solidarity. Moreover, we can be ready for the future resilience, we may need after this world crisis.
Coupled with this, there are some countries that are ready to reopen their boarders by mostly providing clients with the safety required. For instance, Cuba is ready to welcome its visitors, and had indeed received some clients that traveled safe and enjoyed their journey.
Briefly, International authorities are trying to enforce the reopening of tourism, by guiding countries in a recovering plan. However, we should all be responsible for our health. Let us give it a try and opt for a safe vacation, following measures and protocols.
